Windows comes with built in firewall, but the GUI part hides alot of settings, and it's hard to understand where a packet is blocked.
Futhermore, I do not like the idea that Applications can add rules without actually showing what they open for. (EG: Application X has a rule set, but you are not allowed to view what the rule actually allows)
And even the idea that Microsoft just “updates” or “reset” the rules whenever they feel like it through Windows Update.
Personally I run with both INCOMMING and OUTGOING packets blocked, and it's difficult out of the box to open for spesific services.
This is a 2 part program. One runs as a Service in the background, and a GUI part.
Features:
NOTE: This require extended Windows Firewall logging enabled, witch logs each connection attempt into the Security Log, So be aware of extra load!
